St Moritz Tan - Medium

Review:
I love this fake tan, it’s my go to tan at the moment and it’s especially good for the winter. It’s a mouse application but it comes in other forms, it dries fast, leaves no steaks, instantly bronzes you and is suitable for all skin types.

Personally I always prefer a mouse application, I just feel like it goes on more smoothly and there is less opportunity to miss parts of the skin, but each to their own! The mouse is nice and lightweight, always apply with a mit. Be sure to shake the bottle before use to make sure the tanning liquid is even distributed. This tan comes out a bronzed colour which makes application much easier and also means you can wash it off sooner although I’d recommend doing it before bed and washing it off the next morning. Its not really a colour you can get away with during daylight (until you’ve washed the top residue off).

I use the medium instead of the dark (even tho I love a dark tan). I did use the dark but I find the medium fades more evenly and reduces the chances of patches. So I just layer up when I want a darker colour.

Review:

Here I have used Essie's Blanc and Licorice. As you know I love Essie nail varnish because they dry super quick, nice and shiny and you only ever need two coats tops! Keep on trend with monochrome nails and paint the ring finger in black! or you could flip it around and do all black with white on the ring finger. Making your nails on trend colours is a really easy way to add a bit of fashion into your look without buying new clothes.

How To Beat That Prickly Heat !

Overview
I have sufferd with prickly heat for years and spent days of my holiday in the room because it was so bad. I did some resruch into it and below is how I keep it at bay and the products that I use which are highlighted in pink.

What is prickly heat?
NHS Dicrption: "Prickly heat can develop anywhere on the body, but it most commonly occurs on your face, neck, back, chest and thighs. It usually appears a few days after exposure to hot temperatures."
Prickly heat is a irritating  itchy rash that occurs when the skin is hot. This can be from humid/hot weather, wearing to much clothing, sitting to close to hot fires or from exercise. When we are hot we produce more sweat to cool down which can clog up pores and leave the skin unable to breathe and cool ( this is what happens when prickly heat appears). The most basic rule you need to think of is cool skin = happy skin. If your skin is kept cool and clean the prickly heat should be kept at bay.

Treating Prickly Heat
There is unfortunately no magic pill that can get rid of prickly heat but by following my top tips below you should be able to reduce or completely get rid of it. It is very difficult to get rid of prickly heat once you have it so prevention is everything!

1) Cold showers - The first thing I do is have cold showers, the colder the better! Try not to use shower gels that are moisturizing or have oils in them because these can clog up your pores. I like to used the radox mint shower gel because as air touches the mint it cools. I also HIGHLY suggest using a  body puff! This will help to unclog your pores deeper than standard washing but without irritating the skin. I will also have a shower in the evening before going out because while the suns gone in the humidity is still there.

2) Cooling Sprays - After coming out the shower I use a skin cooling spray to make my skin as cool as possible. I use Magi cool which also comes in a prickly heat version. I will also take this out with me in the day and spray problem areas just to make sure they are kept cool.

3) Avoid Mid Day Heat - Avoid sitting out in the sun in at the hottest times of the day. Use that time to have lunch or go swimming. This will help to keep your skins temperature low.

4) Hydration - It is always important to hydrate! Drinking lots of water (preferably cool) will help to keep the body's core temperature down and therefore help to stop you sweating.

5) No Tanning Oils! - Tanning oils will create a barrier between your pores and the air outside so they will get hotter and hotter. This is a big no no for anyone who gets prickly heat. Stick to sun creams as apposed to sun sprays because they also tend to be oily. There are also some brands like Piz Buin and Nivea that now do a sun screen combined with a cooling spray!

6) Wear Loose Clothing - Try to avoid tight clothing or clothing from materials like lycria, polyester and nylon. Cotton is the most breathable.

7) Anti Allergy Tablets - Many over the counter anti allergy tablets such as Piriteze contain 'cetirizine hydrochloride' and help with skin allergies. Take one a day a week before you go and keep it up while your away . ( Remember to check the packaging and consult your doctor before taking )

8) Natural Yogurt - If you do end up getting prickly heat a good soother is natural yogurt. Pop it in the fridge to let it cool and then spread over the effected area and leave until dry. The enzymes in natural yogurt cool down the and reduce the inflammation (this is also AMAZING for sunburn) .

Essie 'cute as a button'

Description:

" A Juicy persimmon delight, a juicy delight of a coral polish that adds an air of innocence instantly. Fresh soft and ripe for the picking. "

Review:

I love love love these nail polishes! The colour is nice and pigmented and there super shiny. Its always best with two coats but each coat drys so fast you dont have to wait around foever. I always put a top coat on, in this picture I have essies 'good to go' which is fast drying and really shiny. The brush is a really good size so its easy to get a good finish. With some other polishes I find the brush can be a little small and so its hard to get it neat but this is just right. At first i was shocked by the price but they are so worth it due to the amazing finish and they do last for a while if kept in a cool dark place. I always get compliments on these colours and this peachy/coral colour is spot on for summer. In this picture I also have the Nailine short square stick on nails.

Positives: Good size brush, Lasts for ages, No chipping, Super shiny, Quick drying, Fashionable colours

Negatives:Its a bit pricey but 100% worth it
